- This sounds like a load of old tosh to me, as much as I'd like to believe
- it. The A1200 used the 68EC020 for the very good reason that the 24-bit
- address bus on the chip needs much less motherboard space (both because
- the chip itself is smaller and because less address lines are needed on
- the board). Converting the A1200 to use a 68030 (whether EC or full) and
- adding SIMM slots is NOT a trivial matter! Technically feasable, yes, but
- certainly not with 'minimal engineering and cost'.
